CEMView Virtualization requirements

Hypervisor Host Requirements:

CEMView is compatible with the following virtualization software (hypervisor) platforms: Hyper-V, VMWare ESX(i), KVM, Xen Server, etc. All vNIC adapters are supported.

Virtual Machine Requirements:

CPU: 4 or more virtual cores are required.

RAM: 8 Gb or more required (16 Gb or more is preferable if the SQL database is running on the same VM)

Disk: 300Gb or more, depends on database size and size of CEMView database archives.

OS: Windows 64-bit OS: Windows Server 2019, 2022 Windows 10, 11 Professional. Please note that third-party software which might be used by the CEMView (e.g. OPC servers, communication drivers for interface converters, etc.) is also compatible with listed Operating Systems.

Software: Microsoft SQL Server 2019-2022 Standard. For the Microsoft SQL Server requirements, please see  https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-CA/library/ms143506.aspx#hwswr

CEMView Licensing:

CEMView in the virtual machine authenticates with an external Nexus License Manager which has to be installed on a physical PC and be available from the CEMView VM via TCP/IP network. Nexus License Manager is a Windows service that can be installed on the VM host server if it is running non-core edition of Hypervisor (Windows Server 2012 or later non-core edition only). One Nexus License Manager service can be used to authenticate multiple virtual machines running CEMView.

The CEMView DAHS requires separate virtualization license. Please contact us for more information.

Below are Nexus License Manager deployment scenarios:
