The DB-PAC can communicate directly to gas analysis instruments using on-board RS-232/422/485 serial ports or Ethernet ports. Additional serial RS-422/485 ports can be added with Ethernet Serial device servers. The DB-PAC is designed for typical deployment in a CEM shelter.

The CEMView DB-PAC application software supports OPC Data Access and OPC Alarms & Events specification interfaces. The CEMView DB-PAC is responsible for real-time control and sequencing activities such as probe blowback and calibration valve control sequencing. It can acquire measured data from the gas analysis instrumentation using an instrument specific OPC Server. Automatic data reduction capabilities are built into the system’s CEMView DB application software. The data reduction algorithms can be customized to meet the automatic data reduction requirement of regulatory compliance authorities and jurisdictions. Microsoft SQL Server  is used for historical data storage.

The CEMView Client application component of the CEMView system connects to the CEMView DB OPC Server to acquire the real-time data. An OLE-DB provider connection to the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition database is used to acquire the historical data.

CEMView DB-PPC

The CEMView DB-PPC is a Panel PC based Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) with 19″ TFT LCD and Touchscreen designed to provide local data acquisition, storage and control for the CEMView Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM) Data Acquisition System (DAS).

The Windows Embedded operating system is optimized for the hardware and installed on industrial solid state drive.

The DB-PPC can communicate directly to gas analysis instruments using onboard RS-232/422/485 serial ports or Ethernet ports. Additional serial RS-422/485 ports can be added with Ethernet Serial device servers.  The DB-PAC is designed for typical deployment in a CEM shelter.

For CEMView CEM DAS applications, the CEMView Data Buffer application software is typically installed on the DB-PPC.  It supports the OPC Data Access and OPC Alarms & Events specification interfaces.  The CEMView DB-PPC is responsible for real-time control and sequencing activities such as probe blowback and calibration valve control sequencing.  It can acquire measurand data from the gas analysis instrumentation using an instrument specific OPC Server.

An OLE-DB provider connection to the Microsoft SQL Server database is used to acquire the historical data.

CEMView IRPC

The CEMView-IRPC is an industrially hardened computer for Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEM) applications that strikes a balance between economy and reliability.  The CEMView-IRPC Rackmount steel chassis provides a rugged, dust-free enclosure while allowing superior airflow for reliable, stable operation in harsh environments.

The highly integrated server class motherboard with modern Intel CPU delivers high reliability with superior performance. Intel Core and Intel Xeon server class dual core and quad core processors are also optionally available.  The extremely powerful graphics engine video controller, LAN controller and RAID controllers are all integrated onto the motherboard, effectively reducing or eliminating the number of add-on boards and components.  CEMView-IRPC embraces the latest Intel CPU and PCI Express technology.

Using two RAID Edition Serial ATA drives, the RAID 1 data storage array delivers superior reliability, high fault tolerance and excellent performance. Designed and manufactured to enterprise-class standards, these RAID Edition drives provide enhanced reliability in a 24×7, high duty cycle environment and they offer a RAID-specific time-limited error recovery feature that improves compatibility with RAID adapters.  The RAID Edition Serial ATA drives are mounted in anti-vibration disk drive bays with hard drive coolers.  A vibration isolated cooler hard drive will be more stable and less likely to suffer a mechanical failure.  Keeping the drives well below its specified temperature range is the easiest way of ensuring that the drives will perform optimally.  For harsh or high vibration environments, extended duty 2 ½” notebook hard drives or SSDs featuring 24/7 operation, high shock tolerance and mean-time-between-failure of 500,000 power on hours are also optionally available.

Memory heat-spreaders are used to dissipate heat, improving its performance and avoiding system crashes caused by overheated RAM. Data archiving to CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW optical media is secure and easy. The high speed USB 3.0 interface ensures that alternative back-up peripheral or add-on hardware such as tape drives are easily connected to the system.

When combined with Nexus Solutions’ CEMView Data Acquisition Systems for Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM DAHS), the CEMView-IRPC platform offers unparalleled reliability and performance to meet the most demanding and critical CEM DAHS applications

CEMView SPC

The CEMView-SPC for Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEM) applications strikes a balance between economy and reliability.

The highly integrated motherboard with an Intel Pentium D Dual-Core processor delivers high reliability with superior performance. The extremely powerful graphics engine video controller, LAN controller and RAID controllers are all integrated onto the motherboard, effectively reducing or eliminating the number of add-on boards and components.

Using Serial ATA II drives, the RAID 1 data storage array offers the best combination of superior reliability, high fault tolerance, and optimum performance for enterprise applications. Designed and manufactured to enterprise server-class standards, these RAID Edition hard drives are the world’s most reliable server-class SATA drives in the market with 1.2 million hours MTBF, 100 percent duty cycle and best-in-class vibration tolerance. The RAID Edition SATA II drives are mounted in anti-vibration disk drive bays with hard drive coolers. A vibration isolated cooler hard drive will be more stable and less likely to suffer a mechanical failure. Keeping the drives well below its specified temperature range is the easiest way of ensuring that the drives will perform optimally. Extended duty SATA 2½” notebook hard drives featuring 24/7 operation and high shock tolerance are also optionally available.

Memory heat-spreaders are used to dissipate heat, improving its performance and avoiding system crashes caused by overheated RAM. The high speed USB 3.0 interface ensure that alternative back-up peripheral or add-on hardware such as tape drives are easily connected to the system. A UPS is included to ensure the orderly shutdown of applications to avoid data loss or database corruption in the event of a power loss condition.

When combined with Nexus Solutions’ CEMView Data Acquisition Systems for Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM DAHS), the CEMView-SPC platform offers unparalleled reliability and performance to meet the most demanding and critical CEM DAHS applications.

CEMView mTPC

The CEMView-mTPC computer for Continuous Emission Monitoring (CEM) applications strikes a balance between economy and reliability.

The highly integrated motherboard delivers high reliability with excellent performance.  The video, LAN and RAID controllers are all integrated onto the motherboard, effectively reducing or eliminating the number of add-on boards and components.

Using two server class Serial ATA II drives, the RAID 1 mirrored drives data storage array delivers superior reliability, high fault tolerance and excellent performance.  Optionally, four (4) SATA II drives can be configured as a RAID 01 mirrored stripes data storage array.  Designed and manufactured to enterprise server-class standards for 24×7 operations, they offer the best combination of superior reliability, vibration tolerance, and optimum performance.  The drives are mounted in drive bays with silicone grommets to isolate hard drive vibration. A vibration isolated hard drive will be more stable and less likely to suffer a mechanical failure. Extended duty SATA 2½” notebook hard drives featuring 24/7 operation and high shock tolerance are also optionally available.
